topping for apple crumble
An easy however scrumptious pudding, ideal not only for family members gatherings but also for guests.
Ingredients
Apple Filling:
6 medium apples
1 tsp cinnamon
2-4 tbsp white sugar *
Crumble components:
175 g all-purpose flour
100 g unsalted butter, chilled, plus a bit more for greasing
85 g Demerara sugar
85 g almond flour
Directions:
Pre-heat an oven to 180 Celsius (160 for fan oven).
Oil a baking dish with butter.
Peel, core, and also chop the apples into slices.
Put the apple slices in a mixing dish, include the cinnamon and also sugar, mix well, and also transfer to the prepared baking container.
In a food processor, whizz the flour, butter, sugar and also almond meal until crumbly.
Spread the crumble mix evenly on the apples, place it in the preheated oven as well as cook for 35-40 minutes till gold brown.
* The amount of necessary sugar relies on the apples. If I use sugary apples, I occasionally do not add any sugar to the apple filling.
